Hello, and thank-you for your continued support of N.S.D.O!  With your support, we’ve been able to bring our members outstanding educational opportunities in 2007. 

At our spring convention, a group of nationally recognized speakers (Diane Drake, Mike DiSanto and Bill Underwood) gave 16 hours of classes to help our members maintain their certifications and prepare for the Advanced Opticianry Exam.  A special thank-you goes out to our Past-President, John Liken, who was primarily responsible for bringing this program to Nebraska.

Our fall convention will see the return of Jim Slightom, an accomplished optician and nationally recognized expert in contact lens fitting and trouble-shooting.  As our spring convention was primarily focused on optical issues relating to glasses, our fall convention will emphasize contact lens classes with a few A.B.O hours available.

Your N.S.D.O. is offering a large number and a wide variety of classes in 2007.  I hope as many of you as possible will take advantage of the opportunity this presents you.  With your support, your state society will continue to offer educational opportunities for all of us.
